1.8gti engin into a mk1 polo

hi i no i havn't got a mk1 golf but do have a mk1 polo.

i have a 1.8gti engin out of a mk1 golf to go into my polo.

i no i will have problems with how tall the engin is putting it the polo but was wondering what other problems i might come across if any??

im going to give it a go anyway just for the crack could it would be quick as f$$k

going on guess work here like, i aint never had a mk1 polo mate, but if its like mk2 polo the gearbox mount will be sound for a bigger mk1/mk2/mk3 engine/gearbox but you gotta contend with all the other mounts.  then theres weight and brakes. might be tempted to dump mk1 engine tho and get mk2 (more parts). gear linkage might be a problem n all, theres loads available like for all different types of cars/engines but reckon length might be an issue 8O. then u got mounting pump, ecu, loom be funny though as my mam weighs more than one of them :wink: might be worth buying a full donor car if you can get one cheap enough,
