1.8 cabriolet, noisy tappets!!

Hi folks, the tappets/shims are sounding very noisy on our cabriolet, its got 175,000 so assuming the shims have just worn down? camshaft looks to be in perfect condition still, can anyone tell me what the gap should be between shim and cam? also where can i source them?!!

Its a 1983 1.8 cabriolet, is it hydraulic or solid?!

Would be solid lifters in that,you can still get the shims GSF do them I think,I will try and find my Manual to give you the clearances

With the engine cold, use the following.

Inlets-0.15mm to 0.25mm clearance.

Exhausts-0.35 to 0.45mm clearance.
