1.8 8v gti cam into 1.8 8v carb will it fit????

hi there, could you please help me????

Im wondering if a mk2 golf 1.8 8v gti piper fast road cam will fit into my late mk1 golf cabriolet 1.8 8v on carb?

aslong as its hydraulic cam with hrdraulic head or visa versa, make sure the cams from the same year as the head to as i no they did 2 slightl diffrent heads??!!??
