Hi,
Ive got a 1.5 fitted with a solex carb. The car runs rough and will cut out unless the revs are kept up. Once the butterfly on the top of the carb is open the car runs fine. Does this mean the auto choke is not coming on or does it mean the auto choke is staying on? Either way what can I do to fix it.
Thanks.

I am no expert but I've just had rough running and stalling on my 1.5, first thing was change the rusty filler neck and clean out the fuel tank.
Then the thing that fixed it was a new condenser and points on the dizzy. £7 fix :-)

Thanks for the suggestion but my issue is to do with the auto choke. If the butterfly is manually opened the car runs fine.
