1.5 Auto accelerator Cable

Hi all, I have read many posts but never created one myself.  I am wondering if anybody can help with a part number or stockist for a throttle cable.  I ordered a cable using a VW part number found in this forum but it was the wrong one.  I need the cable that goes from the kick down

I am sure if anyone has purchased that particular part they will post a part no.

But in the meantime have you tried you local VW dealer, they can use thier system to look up the part no and then order for you. I normally find the older staff are more helpfull as some of them will have worked on these cars and appreciate someone trying to keep them on the road.

Thanks for getting back.  I did go to VW but they weren't very interested for some reason.  The cable I did get from them I will be keeping for when the motor come out and rebuilt.

GSF supplied only the manual cable, straight from pedal to carb.  Thanks

Try registering to the site below. Once registered you can essentially get the parts diagrams and all the part nos. your dealer has access to.
