First full show!!!

Hi,
 Just a big thank you to you all for making it a great weekend for myself and Helen…..and Alphena!!!

From the moment we arrived on Sat morning, we were made to feel most welcome and at home. A big up to the Milton keynes crew who took us under their wing (see you next week !!!).  The AGM was an eye opener and i learnt lots about all aspects of the MK1OC from it. The cruise ….. well im pleased to say nothing fell off on the endruro !!!! … it was fantastic fun and ill never forget the shock of the people in Matlock and elsewere as we took over the roads for a while, (not to mention those waiting at crossroads etc!!!!!). Realy great stop for break. ( Dont think i ran over anyone taking photo's on the roadside!!!) Sunday was amazing for so many reasons for us, firstly for sooooooooooooo many Golfs to see and admire of all types, colours and styles . Wow , cant belive there was over 60 cabriolets in one place and evenmore tin tops . Our thanks to all of you who brought them and showed us just what was still out there in UK and beyond. We were also soooo pleased with the reception that Alphena got by so many and learnt a lot though all that was said.

I'll second that! As a newbie,(and girlfriend of owner as opposed to owner) i have to admit i was a little worried I'd last the weekend, but i had an amazing time, as Mark said, everyone was so welcoming and friendly.

Mark and I also met up with some other lovely newbies - Amanda and Steve - and we were so pleased that they won the membership in the raffle!

Brilliantly organised, lots of fun, and fab atmosphere! Thanks to all the organisers and all the other peeps who were there at the weekend that just made it such good fun. All of the cars looked wonderful and i don't know how the Judges made the decisions!!
