Some pics from Saturday

Had a run down for AGM meeting and run out. Good to see some old faces and new ones too.

In true british style the weather was exact opposite of Fridays downpour with bright sun shine. Well done to the team for holding their nerve on Friday.

Unfortunately due to family commitments,  I could only make the run out to Donnington and not the return trip. Last year I managed to book my summer hols at same time as the AGM. Next year I def coming camping…

Uttoxeter,

X's Driver just like the one I had a daily car back in the late 80s,

Run out start;

Puddle from Fridays rain,

Open road,

Very heavy rain shower and race to get tops up,

At Donnington, the Golfs great-great-grand daddy and in uniform;

Fly past,

Set off back;

1983 Mars Red 1.8 Golf GTI
1987 Alpine White 1.8 Clipper Cabriolet

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

Thanks for the mention! Shame you didn't get to see it today, I broke out a load of paperwork to go with it, original bill of sale, full service history etc…

Still didn't win anything though :roll:

If you look closely at the photo, you'll see Nikki's 1.5 auto really was the 'gold' at the end of the rainbow  :D
