The wheels look like Mk2 steels - if they are 15" they are commonly know as g60 steels. I run my tyres at about 32psi,
I hope you enjoy mk1 motoring over winter. :punk:

Well it's been nearly two months now and
I am amazed at this little car. I have started
Work at 5am this past 5 days and it's freezing
Up here. Car starts 1st time every time. No water
Or ice in the car. Car feels solid and it's returning
About 55 mpg and sometimes more. I am used to
About 22 mpg so for me it's some change.

Filled her up today 330 miles i have done in 3 weeks and she only took £32. Brilliant.
Stuck two new front tyres on her yesterday for 70 notes. Amazing. My Porsche is 245 a corner.

I use my mk1 diesel all year round too…freezing & snow-covered early starts at the moment too. I love it, puts much newer cars to shame at times! It does so well in the snow, tailor made - it won't run away with you when you use the gears downhilll or pulling up to junctions…and there's none of this spinning the wheels like a silly bugger to get up the slightest slope! Glad it's done you proud.
P.S - I've got the same 14'' steelies on mine. I got new tyres fitted for £28 each! But £35 aint bad.
