The start of restoring my sick mk1

Hi thought it was about time that i actully got some pictures up of my project its a
1983 tin top
1.3 cc.

I brought this car on the understanding that it only needed 2 headlight bulbs 2 front tyres and a hazard switch but guess what it needs alot more then that list as followed
. both rear arches need replacing
. rear lower valance needs replacing
. Hole in the wheel whell
. needs 2 new front wings
. front windscreen
. new door rubbers
. new boot seal
thairs plenty more i could list but i wont bore you to much.

Looks solid enough fella,the list you gave are your usual Mk1 rust areas and the car is nearlly 25 years old so thats what happens,you only need to look at `Projectgolf`s 1.3 to see what can be achieved.

yes alot of works gone in to what ive done. once all the body works straight ill be painting her a shade of blue.
The nova in the picture is my dailey driver.
and i found the best thing to use on the floors was a wire wheel/cups

Other that the bits youve mentioned though, it looks to be in good nick!

havent done much today just put another coat of red oxide on. Just wondering what other products are out thair that are like underseal but not as messy and have a neater finish?

also trial fitted my clipper front bumper :D

Its not to sad frank from what ive seen lol also neil droped by mine the other day had a quick look round the car asked what needs doing to it and said come down to my work with the golf so atleast ive got someone to do my welding just need to get it down to him.

i would just like to let everyone know that nothing has changed on the golf since last weekend as ive worked 7days this week wich dont give me much time for myself :banghead: .

This project will be a slow ongoing project so please watch this space

finally had some spare time on my hands over the last few days so i thought i would get stuck in on the passenger side front inner wing.
As you can see ive striped it back (hours upon hours work).

Once the last coat of red oxide is on (today sometime) ill post a few more pictures
