hi all sorry i havent got round to putting any pics up but i have been away for the weekend and hope fully i can restart the resto tomorrow (weather permitting) :D

hi all,
going to be cutting out the srches tomorrow and was wondering what sort of precautions/things to look out for while doing so (i.e nothing behind the metal that i shouldnt be cutting 8O ) info very welcome  :lol:

Only cut out what needs to be removed... if you can stay away from the flat areas of rear quarter panel it will make things 100 times easier

what is the front of the car like.

Before you go too mad in cutting your golf about is this book on your Christmas list ?

hi A pillars are good, the bottom of the front valance has surface rust but nothing a 4.5" disk wont get rid of  :D

the bottom of the windscreen is also very tidy compared to the rest of the rotton body 8O ,

hi all sorry i havent posted in a while but could you tell me how on gods earth you get the arch of the inner arch :dontknow:  because ive got one side done but accidentally cut into the inner arch getting it off :oops: , so this time i dont fancy any unneccessary repair work,
all info appreciated

what I did to remove mine (although pointless really as I needed to replace inner arches too  :cry:

was to use an angle grinder and cut vertically about 2mm in from the leading edge of the outer arch.. if that makes sense?
