REAR WHEEL ARCH REPAIRS, I REPLACED ALL OF THE INNERS AND PARTIAL OUTERS.
 






FRONT END DIDN'T HAVE ANY TIN WORM JUST NEEDED STRIPPING DOWN AND REPAINTING.






GENUINE VW WINGS FITTED TOOK 6 MONTHS TO ARRIVE.



MORE ARCH REPAIRS INCLUDING HAND MADE PANEL FOR THE INNER ARCH.















REAR VALANCE REPLACED THIS TOOK TWO ATTEMPTS I RE-CUT THIS HIGHER UP TO GIVE MORE STRENGTH AS THE FIRST ONE BUCKLED ops:


BOOT REPAIR TOOK THREE ATTEMPTS




GENERAL REPAIRS / PICTURES



























UNDERBODY AND WHEEL ARCHES PREPERATION AND PAINTING 6 COATS IN ALL.






















FINALLY ON THE TRAILER AND OFF TO PAINT.












I HOPE YOU ALL THINK IT'S OK FOR MY FIRST RESTO I COULDN'T WELD UNTIL I STARTED THIS PROJECT BUT IV'E NOW HAD LOTS OF PRACTICE!

thanks it's my first resto and should be back from paint in a couple of weeks i'll update pictures then. it should only take me another year to put it back together after the tiling and fence and kids and nearly forgot keepin the misus happy :wink:

doing the exact same job at the moment  
thought it was my garage for a minute .did you find loads of tiny little rust spots under the underseal on the rear end ??
sort of 5mm round but about 30 of them


your a bit ahead of where i am at the mo ,just got a new rear panel to go on and passenger side rear outer arch done the inners and drivers outer.

yours looks very good mate  :wink:

Yes i did find lots of rust spots under rear mainly surface rust only

Thanks i need to contact you re fuel lines flexi flow and return aswell as flexi's for the pump and accumulator connection cheers Sparks.

Norfolk region have a good meet - you should get yourself down there and warm them up for the arrival of your MK1 when it's finished!

Does anyone know an interior specialist in or around Norfolk thanks sparks
