just a little update, bought a few more bits and added more onto the engine

not much of an update here, havent really done alot to the car recently but heres a few pics of a few things ive cleanded up n sprayed












heres a lil pic of the car on its way to crazy quiffs to get the electrics done so hopefully in a few weeks it will actually be running

Is this in OBDworks? Full hidden loom?

Cheers liltlekris I thort Id prefer the waistline strips back on it rather that without, but there are a few other things I wish Id of done aswell, like not had a black roof ( bit of a spur of the moment thing lol) but I might one day get it done back in silver, dya know wat mate I was just been tryin to persuade the mrs to cum to the agm cuz I'd wud be my first year and wud love to see some of these mk1s on this forum u gonna be takin urs mate?

The AGM is the aim, it'll be really tight though and most likely incomplete but would hate to turn up in a mk3 when my mk1 is so close to being finished..

Reading the projects makes you feel a connection to the car when you see it for real, as you know the hard work gone into it, sorted wish I put a thread up now..

not much really happeing atm on the car cuz crazy quiffs is sorting the loom out obviously but just a few pics of to keep this thread alive

bought these badges from trimsport, great quality very pleased with these



also bought one of these chrome bonnet arm great finish to it







bought one of these from vw for the arm to fit into



also i realised that whatever idiot had my car before me must of had a thing with cutting stuff off this so i had an engineer make me up a bracket for the bonnet arm to fit into







thats all for now, i think the next update might be a video of the car running cant wait

got 20m of heat wrap to make sure its wrapped enough thanks to cabbybrad


also got a new parcel shelf

just read this from after paint as im doing injection in a few weeks (not to this extent) so looking round and noticed no heat wrap etc so was gunna post and ask, glad your gunna wrap it dude, im making a plate to sheild it so maybe look into that?

excellent progress so far though dude, looking well indeed!

Cheers for the advice on the Heat wrap brad, will also look into a heat shield, post up a pic of urs wen Uve done it ( give me some ideas)

Be a couple of weeks cos I go away next week but I will post up for everybody. Bolts to steering rack at the min how it's roughly thought of.

impressive mate lovely engine bay!!! how did you manage to hide all the wires its always baffled me?!
