The zinc coating looks the business, she's coming along nicely  

i should have cleaned the background bits before taking any pics

getting car ready for mot, got the gases and headlamp allignment  checked by local porsche specialist who is also a mk1 fan, also cleaned up the front struts  yesterday and gave them a  coat of waxoyl , hopefully take them off next year get them bead blasted and powder coated .
Have also got round to fitting wheel arch liners it seems early 82 models (manufactured summer 81) didnt have them fitted Ididnt  fancy screwing into the inner arch so used (oh dear)bmw mini plastic trim rivets to hold the liner to the inner guard .

car passed mot last week ,no problems.decided to fit new rear shocks as they looked really past their best .New boge/sachs oil shocks fitted .and sprayed with bilt hammer uc wax sealer.

Well done on the MOT pass… Good feeling when they go through.  :wink:

would enjoy the craic havent done many miles in it since bringing it over from scotland,i think a convoy and support services would be benficial

taxed tested good weather now hope to put some miles on.

have been fixing up a headlight upgrade loom but not fitted it yet , but just in case the ulster weather isnt quite up to scratch have installed a mk2 wiper motor. an easy enough install and wipers are now normal -great. Managed to sort the loom today for the headlights .
