Bought some pedal rubbers off ebay and they dont look to bad.
Will be fitting them one day this week.
Somebody told me it would be a MOT failure to have a rubber cover on the accelerator????
Is this true as I was gonna buy a set for my car? :dontknow:

Well theres one there already but its worn through.
Looks like its been through quite a few MOTs aswell.
They also look original.

No, mini's have them. Only requirement for the MOT, is that the brake has a rubber. Can't remember the exact term but so long as there is a grip of some sort.BigNormRivage said

I'll let you know later, I don't think that mine has a rubber cover on the accelerator… ever, and mines in for MOT today!! 8O

Well the car wouldn't fail on a missing accelerator pedal rubber…… But it would fail on headlamps too high, track rod end broke, anti roll bar straps worn AND rust within a specified area near the passenger seatbelt anchorage point!!! :redfaced:
What that translates into is… CQ to the rescue on the strap front and the garage to repair the rest.
The rust was known about and will be sorted within the month under the " full refurb programme "!

Right then i fitted me pedal rubbers today, i was supprised how easy they went on.
They make a big difference compared to how the pedals were.
Also gave the car a bit of a clean and got the roof down for the first time in a few months.

Cheers guys.
Planning to get the wheels re polished in 2 months.
Also got a company coming out in a few weeks who do dashboard repairs as I got 2 little marks to sort out.
They not that noticable but the dash will be perfect then.

Went to a local bodyshop earlier today to see about having a full respray.
Had a good chat with the guy, hes got a nice place and is producing top work.
He has just done a fine job on another members cabby.
Early days yet but will be having it done sometime this year, aswell as saving for my wedding.

Just had mine resprayed Norm. Had trouble finding the side skirt seal trim, its not available. If you manage to find any when you get it in the shop, please let me know. Thanks Dean
