This is what the rear lower looked like when I got it. When it was mag featured last year there was a fog light there as there is not one in the rear lights. For some reason the Baffoon who had it after that and before me, removed it along with other mot required items. So yesterday went hunting and found the wires and got it re connected to the original switch. Then managed source a Hella fog to mount on the. Bottom of the well placed bumper bracket. Nearly there.

Past the mot today after fitting new windscreen. Set the timing up properly as it was a tooth out on the cam belt. Good run and its getting there

Right. A project that I have been after for a while has been offered to me. Which means that this is now up for grabs. Will be after £6500 for this. I have seen some cheaper and many more expensive. Contact me for details and test.

Little update. My nephew who just past his test came to mine so I could fit some clips to stop his heat shield rattling on him golf mk4 1600 (good first car)

Managed to get gears mixed up and drove in to back of mine. :-(

Started to strip it today

Ordered some new bits and think I will have to replace the rear panel. Joy

It's right on the edge. Have got a new rear panel as I think it will cause problems as its where the lights attach. Plan to do a proper job

This s how it was left last night, since I am replacing the rear panel I decided to eradicate the little bit of rot and rust in the lower rear arches too, need to get it done fast to get it painted and ready for Gti international.

Are you going to paint some of the hard to reach places with weldable primer before the new panels go back on?
I've seen it done before and wondered why more people don't seem to do it?

Got some hammerite anti rust primer to put on today then will weld on panel to or row morning. Once painted will attack it with waxoil with all little attachments to get everywhere else

Right rear panel attached as well as the quarter pockets

Then filled to get it right for paint. Decided to put the original seam back in which was a right hassle, however it looks better for it.  I know why hey all rot there, mine was original but there was almost no seam sealer behind the joins to the quarter and rear panel to protect it. Sorted now though and delivered for paint yesterday, not long tip Gti international though.
