Polybushes… are they worth it?
The golf is never going to be a daily, but I don't want to be a nodding dog with back problems every time I drive it either. Do any of you have any experience of standard (new) bushes vs polybushes and ride comfort vs handling? I know it's always a trade off but I don't want to get it all together and find I've made the wrong decision…
I've not driven it yet either so not sure how it will feel on standard bushes.
Cheers.

The ride over what it was before is significantly improved, I was a bit worried about the ride becoming crashy due to the bushes, but it's just firm-footed now and not crashy at all.
I used Super-Pro after some research.
Mine's a 93 cabby.

Also all steel races are made from stainless steel, so should be much longer-lasting with little or no corrosion, and the inner surfaces of the poly-bushes are 'cross-hatched' for want of a better expression. So that when fitted and correctly lubed the bush will actually hold lube between it and the steel race.
I'm not explaining it very well, but in my opinion it is much better than a smooth inner bush surface where it can't hold any lube.

so use whichever you like either will be fine so long as your bushes are good quality and condition
