carb issue?
Problem is I cannot get it to tick over unless I rev the carb, even with the idle screw wound in it won't hold revs and will stall.
There are no air leaks around the carb, I've replaced plugs, rotor, cap, leads, coil and fuel filter!!
Has been timed but struggle to get it bang on without the engine running properly.
It has the advanced dizzy but unsure 100% about if I need the vacuum plugged in to time it and at what degree.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Now it starts sort of fine…ticks over with idle screw at around 2/ 2-1/2 turns out, but it struggles to rev and pops back through the carb..
I've since checked the timing whilst running at around 900/1000 rpm and have the diamond timing Mark spot on with the vacuum pipe connected.
When it pops it's a struggle to rev and sounds boggy.
Is there another mixture screw?

I'm not 100% sure but I thought you unplugged the vacuum advance and blocked it off to do the timing? I dont use a timing light as I set mine by driving it and advancing till it pinks then backing it off till it stops pinking under load.
