Bosch Starter for DX Engine

Hi all!

The starter on my GTI has just packed in, and I'm looking for a cheap but decent quality replacement as I've just spent £1700 rebuilding the engine and am a little skint! I've found a Bosch NOS starter on eBay here, Bosch Part Number 049911023DX, but despite my best Google efforts I cannot find any link to vehicle types and compatibility with a Mk1 Golf.

Does anyone with experience here know if this starter will fit my 1987 Mk1 GTI engine code DX?

You can get your motor rebuilt easy enough or even do it yourself
