Seat movement.?

Post

still rocks a bit?

I've been giving the interior a clean up on my mk1 cab. (i'll have to put some pics up)

I put some new seat runners on the seats as i've had them out. They still have play in them side to side, its only a tiny bit. Can this be totally stopped?

Cheers

Pete

There is always a bit of lateral play… your seat glides did have the finger nail  half moon protrusion on one side?

Hi Briano,

Yeah they have. I got new set from heritage. Are better quality ones available?

Not that I am aware of, I suspect I should of asked front to back or side to side on the rear….  But as I said, even with new guides there is a bit of lateral play…. Just not as much, and they are easier to slide front to back.

The movement is on the inside rear of the passenger seat. it moves upwards i suppose, giving the seat a bit of a rock left to right.. haha if that makes sense?

Are you sure it isn't right to left…

You could try two of the fingered ones on the left and right  to see it that eliminates it.  But I think it would be difficult to get them in……

I put one of the outside bushes on the inside. was a bit tight going on, but its eliminated the rock.

If you look at the bushes side by side, inside and the outside bush, the outside bush is a couple of mm taller. so that's where the fix comes from.  Its a small amount, but enough to stop a little rattle.
