Just bought some small chrome bumpers!
Going to fit them tomorow, never taken bumpers off before…
A quick guideline would be great ?
Thanks!

Mk1 golf bumper removal
Undo the 4 bolts in the boot area for the rear one and it will just pull off.
For the front still four bolts in the bay, but first unscrew and disconnect the indicators and the external temp module if a GTI. Then just pulls off.
Both front and back you will be left with bumper mounts on the wings that are not used by the small bumpers.

I forgot to mention it's a cabriolet ?
Is that the same for the back bumper ?

I guess you don't have the cabriolet with the body kit on? 1988 onwards…
1988 Mk1 Golf GTi Cabriolet 1.8cc DX, K-jet. Daily drive. 317,000 miles and counting
1978 Mk1 Scirocco GLS 1.6cc FR, Webber carb. Weekend toy.
