Exhaust on MK1 ABF conversion.

Hi all

I have been searching, but cant seem to find what exhaust will fit my MK1 2l 16v ABF conversion on Bike carbs….I have a Ashley manifold and system, but it is too loud. From the end of the manifold, do i get a mk1 or mk2 exhaust system ???thought s please.

Doubt a mk2 system will come close to fitting. The quietest performance (straight through) system I have tried was a supersprint, it had 3 box,s, was mild steel, thick and heavy, had a purposefull burble at tick over but wasn't too noisy. This was a good few years ago though and its probably no longer available.

Looks like i'll have to go custom then…
 

What manifold are most guys running ?  whithout it burning the car ?
 

mk3 top end grafted to mk1 bottom end. I have about 1" clearance from steering boot and CV boot on other side.
Although that might all change as my bonnet doesn't fit….

Have you got plenty of bonnet clearance??

Yes, but running ABF Engine.
