for the dah temp sensor? best way imo is splice a square 4 pin plug on it from early mk4 or mk3 gofl, then use the mk3 golf 1.8-2.0 8v 4 pin sensor. works directly with mk4 ecu and mk1/2/3 dash, no resistors required :)

the pinout isn't the same between them, so take car when splicing!

if you have a decent crimping tool you could buy the plug new, just need wire seals plus 4x junior/power timer type pins

you need junior/power timer terminals, and wire seals. available from pretty much everywhere :)

Ref: 3-8260 or 8270 for the terminals, 10662 or 10658 for wire seals:
Terminals for Connector Housings: Polevolt Ltd

I've also found on ebay, farnel etc

Awesome, ECT now works as it should!! :)  Struggled to find the pins you mentioned in one of my previous posts within the UK for the fuse box plug pins(small ones)  with minimum orders and massive shipping costs! So for anyone else looking i found the TE connectivity 66105-3 fit in the plugs and are almost identicle to the oe ones i removed! They are more expensive per each but if you only need one its worth a look! My crimp tool was a little too wide also but was able to borrow another.

Thanks again RJ, would never have got this anywhere near finished without your help and your club gti writeups!
