Are MK1 GTi radiators the same as 1.8 carb?

As per the title, if I buy a topfill radiator for a 1.8 GTi, will it fit my 1.8 carb?
Also is there a brand/supplier who are particularly good to get one from?

it should do aye, as long as its proper gti one they are wider than the non-gti 1.6 etc. the 1.8 carb rad should be as wide as a 1.8 gti, but it may be single cored rather than double. basically find out the width the GTI ones should be 525 mm.

worst case if its wider than yours get some GTI rad hoses and fan shroud, but if your shroud has the 2 rubber flaps on the driver side its a 525 width rad
