I have a low mileage 3a sitting in a audi 80 and I was wondering how do these work with a dx head fitted and what sort of power would I expect it to put out when running.

drop it in and off you go. you may need to fit your old dizzy if the 3a one isnt vacuum advance. i thought you needed the dizzy adaptor ring from tsr to fit your old dizzy plus swap the 2.0 gear over, but apparently the 3a hole is the same size as mk1?

same way as the 1.8 block worked before, just with more torque :)

the 3a engine is basically identical to a dx just bigger bores and pistons. as i say the only thing is the dizzy, you need this to match the injection system you plan to run.

kjet needs a vacuum advance dizzy, and im pretty sure all 3a use some kind of ecu so the dizzy is basic type with no advance in so you need to use your old dizzy. only thign im not sure about is the size of the hole in the block, so compare it to the old dizzy. if its bigger, order yourself a tsr dizzy adaptor ring. also compare the gear on the dizzy, if the 3a one is different swap it over :)
