Hey guys,
Coming to the point im getting the fuel system ready on my 20v agu conversion. It was originally a 1300, so i dont think it had a fuel pump relay. Have changed to a gti fuel tank ( aftermarket so no built in swirl pot). Have got a red top facet as a kind of lift pump, which i will mount under the car to supply a 1 ltr swirlpot in the boot. Then have a sytec injection pump to pump to the fuel rail.
1. Can i mount the sytec in the boot as i believe it has to be no more than 1/2 meter away from the swirl pot and dont want to put the swirlpot in the engine bay? Will it have enough pump to effectively supply the engine?
2. How should i run the power to the 2 pumps? Can i use the same relay and split the output? My loom is a vagtronic modded one using stock ecu with a seperate fuel pump relay.
Cheers in advance
Adam

1. i would have put the main pump and swirl pot under the car as per oem, but as long as its within your pump spec you should be ok in the boot. may have to talk to manufacturer about that
2. yep power the facet off the main pump feed

Awesome, thanks for your help! Will make things easier for me for sure. Will split the output from the relay as it is a spade type connection.
Wasnt sure where to go with the swirl pot setup as not familiar with the gti. May well go with an under car setup, but would have to get hold of a different design swirl pot to fit.
The injection pump is the same as the walbro one so hopefully be ok. Think they do an intank equivalent for an octavia so should have enough power to supply the fuel rail. But will definatly check up with sytec before fitting.
Thanks again

I just have an OEM fetish tbh, the way you have it now will be fine provided the pump can cope. i see no reason why not!
if you wanted to mount it like oem then heres a piccy of the later cab setup, 19 is the swirl pot and you can ignore the fuel accumulator 35

Nice one, thanks john!
May keep an eye out for the oem swirl pot, at least it will give me options!
Now….back to the bolt i just sheared on the head where the water junction fits
