Did my fuel pump just die?
But if I pour a little petrol in the carb it starts immediately for like one second but then dies again. Doesn't that mean that the engine is fine and I'm getting a good spark and the engine just isn't getting any gas?

Think I'll need a need tank, pump, lines and filter….
Think I'd replace it anyway, would'nt want to use the old junk with my newly rebuilt engine

But I have no idea where all that gas is going! Since the engine runs "fine" it can't be using all that gas, engine would just choke…

I have a mechanical pump and there is nothing wrong with it. Seems the filter was just clogged. But I don't know how I could have failed like this….
