Depends on wheels / bolts used really (ie, how much thread goes into drum). I'm using 3mm spacers on the front of my Caddy (BBS RD alloys and std. bolts) and have no problems. Had to use them as the wheels are ET40 and just skimmed the strut on the n/s (!). 3mm hardly anything though ………..
Cheers,
Mark

Otherwise your wheels are hanging off the bolts only, not good.
