Mk1 golf gti

Just bought this mk1 gti! my first project, it needs alot of work, no interior, problem with the fuel injection but hope to get it running soon. It has a rear disc conversion, the brakes from a corrado g60, also running high lift cams. as you can see it is covered in these black and white vinyl stickers which i have started to peel off ready for a respray, going back to red!.

I think that car has had a chequered history!

look forward to seeing what the paint it is like underneath. Question is why would someone want to do this to the car in the first place?

Thankyou! yeah i dont know why the guy had done it, they are all individual stickers so the gaps inbetween the stickers has faded the paint but the rest is fine, its a pretty solid shell no rust in the usual places it just needs a new wing.

That is hard to look at, think i saw dolphins!!

You know I used to love playing chess but having seen that board I've gone right off it and I've even played 3D chess!
