golf drvs side.jpg golf windscreen.jpg golf apr 17.jpg I am starting a project with my old Golf that has sat uncovered for 10 plus years.

I bought it in 1990. It probably hasn't moved since 1997.

I am good at renovating motorbikes but have never done a car.

This car has enourmous history with me so I need to try. golf apr 17 b.jpg

I think I have and I don't know a lot about cars - motorbikes yes !!!

phase 1 is to get it going - it doesn't have to look great just go and it would be good to be road legal/
phase 2 if it ever happens would be to then go the extra an spray it etc to get it a1.

Update:

Bought a cover for it - it has to be outside - no room.
All wheels off and inflated - need a cheap golf wheel purely for moving it about

Engine turns over with battery, there is spark.

issue one is to get fuel into the engine.
On a motorbike this is easy … here I have rusted lines, the original isse with the accumulator or pump bust and now
I need to remove the fuel tank to see the state. a massive  task…..
also the fuel tank next is rusty.

The body work is not great in places but I amtold it can be fixed. this has to wait though.

ill look on here on how to repaoir / replace the fuel system as this stopped me before - I couldn't do it.
Now I have all the tools to do it so it is possible.

I think its years …. but it could actually drive this year easily.
Cars though , so much  more hassle than motorbikes with the bodywork.

Anyway Fuel tank, Lines and pumps all off for inspection is the first job.
