Great shout mate, even better get your beast done and we can all road trip up in that!

Chris - if you are very close to burning the thing to te ground mate, I know its not easy to find garages round your way, but if you can find an old skool mechanic who is familiar with old stuff, maybe you could agree a set price with him to look over it and give you diagnosis?

I hope your mate looking at shed's light

It's running :-)

Points, condenser, dizzy cap, rotor arm and spark plugs have done the biz so far :-)

Obviously the filler neck, swirl pot, vacuum hoses, carb gasket and carb clean all contributed.

It was the condenser that was the culprit. Still needs timing done as mate never had his do da but get that done soon.

Might even go a drive tomorrow ??

Excellent news !!

Still reckon you should convert to electronic ignition if she is a keeper though Chris - points will wear and pit and always be a pain !!

Cheers,
Ade

Fantastic news - can you remember how to drive?

Sods law it may have been mostly something small, although as you say the rest of the work will have helped massively! Driving pics tomorrow then ;)
