It's a glass like coating that I had done on the Sportline and the finish was excellent and that wasn't the supposed top coatings.

The top coatings are around £100.

I know a few guys that have had it done on their daily cars and they think it's great.

Ref the S1, must have felt great to get it out the garage! (Pic please!! lol)

I can't believe it was last July when it was last started. It doesn't seem that long ago! lol

Hairyarse  it was started in the garage as it was torrential rain all day yesterday 😬

I'm not getting the coating for the supposed scratch protection more just for the daft wee marks when you squeeze past it and to protect the fantastic paintwork from the elements.

It will be out for it's first drive 2 weeks on Friday for its MOT and service at Vw.

Seat covers going on and mileage checked before dropping it off ☺️
There will be no probs as its a friend who owns the Vw dealership and it's the genersl manager that is looking after me 👍

It will be in safe hands then! I bet you can't wait to get behind the wheel again  

So the car is dropped of at VW Newbridge getting preferential treatment thanks to knowing the owner 😉

It's the only reason it's there, I'm supplying the service parts, got the best Technician who happens to have a mk1 caddy with a VR6 fitted and is a mk1 enthusiast and let's say mates rates prices 😉

Well I have to agree, from the first moment you posted pictures mate.

I honestly don't think I've seen a better example in the right hands.  

But I do hope that this is a keeper!

It is keeping me sane on the spending front as there is nothing I can spend on, so not only because it's a peach am I keeping it but because it doesn't damage my wallet as well 😜

Plus it might make me a few quid eventually 😉

Oh we can all relate to the last part  but we all want to be standing where you are when we look at our Mk1's!    

Good news on passing the mot mate it's a stunner 😄
I dowt you will make any money in the future you know how tin tops are over valued these days 😜😜

Great pics at the VW Dealers - could almost be early 80's.  Well done on the mot pass, now just drive and polish.  oh and fit the tailgate chrome trim haha.

Dave I unwrapped the trim yesterday and ordered 7mm double sided tape to attach it.

So as Dave says I've got the tailgate trim to put on and the waterless coolant to put in but both after my hols 👍
