That such friends, greetings from across the Atlantic. Presenting my project, a Golf 1985

That such friends, greetings from across the Atlantic. Presenting my project, a Golf 1985 (in Mexico I met them with the name of VW Caribbean (MK1) and was produced until 1987). Buy this car a few months ago and remove the engine reconditioning, I have a small machine shop and some things like mechanical facilitate me, maybe not make big changes for now, but I'll try to rebuild it with a more original as possible. Here some images of the small step of my project. Thanks for viewing.

There is my small project

This is my girl mechanic adjusting a small screw, he felt happy to help, as if he had a complete engine assembly, hahaha of course, brings in his tummy my other big project MK1 not my first baby.

This is my project and without doors, motor, or windows.

Engine bay restored some primary and anticorrosive.

I'm no professional body repair, but I'm learning and I try to do my best of the best quality, buy a welding machine and accessories to paint, learn in the process, it is best to do it yourself.

I had a problem with the rear engine mount, broke off the foil and tiny cracks that were resolved, it is not the prettiest in the world welding but I think staying well.

After walking for nearly 30 years, disarm the engine crankshaft and the measurement was the same as when it left the factory, do not show much wear in 30 years of service here my good friend Chuy disarming.

A bit of corrosion on the car body, she qualms with a metal foil Bettle donor.

This is my car at present.

My small workshop, a greeting from Mexico.

There is a big amount of work for you to do.  I do not know what the weather us like in Mexico but would have thought that cars would not rust as much over there?

Do you plan to keep it standard and the same colour?

Welcome to you from Mexico, thanks for stopping here and showing us your MK1 Project. It looks a good car - although the floor may need some work?

I wish my garage had a 'girl mechanic' like yours!

Updating post ;)
I will try not to use the translator may not understand but I'll do the attempt.

Buy this machine for micro welding wire is really acquire economic and works very well, my idea is to buy a TIG but is more expensive but in the future Maybe we can acquire it.

This database engine support base is too desolders or breaks at least in the MK1 Mexican.

Inside looks at first glance appears to be very dirty and bad lamin, but when brush the metal is in excellent condition might not replace in its entirety, only the really damaged areasr will be replaced entirely new.

It is broken the foil, behind the stand base and several cracks, he made some holes to prevent cracks from expanding beyond the car body.

The back is in better condition, just reinforced with some solder some critical points in the support the shock absorber.

This is the prototype designed in an application to cell, color and appearance is what I would get.

En la mitad sur del pais el clima es tropical humedo la mayor parte del aņo, y en la parte norte es semidesertico, la humedad es la que perjudica a la mayoria de los MK1 mexicanos quiza al norte mejoren en carroceria.
