My rough mock up had it just clearing but I'm guessing I'm well out with my measurements lookng at yours LOL!
Surprised you didn't go for a twin pass intercooler, would have thought the pipework would have been easier. That said I like your solution, really impressive fabrication.
What make was your 4 branch by the way?

I'm going on JMR's recommendation with the intercooler.
With the room that's needed for other parts to fit a twin pass intercooler would take up valuable room.
The manifold I bought from eBay listed as a right hand one.. I believe everyone is tight but my one for some reason was fouling the steering rack.

I've been eyeing up some of those eBay one, was going to take a punt on the hot tuning one as I need those adjustable pipes as I'm using an ABF. I'll prepare myself for some potential chopping!

I think the name of this type of intercooler makes them sound a good way to go, but in reality they are usually used when space constrains and you want the inlet and outlet on the same end.
Technically they are all aftercoolers and not intercoolers - lol - i'll get my coat

Any concerns of having a notch taken out of the front cross member?

I'm so pleased with the end result.. It gives me a massive smile every time I open the bonnet..
As for cutting out part of the front chassis, no issues the sides have been welded and strengthen internally Im running a 62mm pully. That was always my plan to run it with that size!

Ah cool. I didn't think you'd allow half a job to be done to your car but couldn't make it out in the pics.
I look forward to seeing it again at the AGM
