'89 cabrio gti

So now I own 3 golfs… oh dear… I think I need to get some therapy

Here it is


It's in very good condition all round, except the paintwork. It has been repainted at some point in the past, in a BMW blue ( was originally Helios Blue ) , and the paint is flaking, crazing and .. well, it's a mess!

So I have bitten the bullet and sent it for a proper paint job.

Here it is at the paint shop being stripped ready for prep

Looks like a solid start! Future plans for it (after paint)?

This my 'parts car' I bought it to break for parts to restore my yellow one, but it's far to good condition to break, just had bad paint, so I bit the bullet and decided to get it sorted.
Yeah I will do the wheels, and anything else it needs…. The plan is to sell it sold once finished
