Bad news  went to start car to take it for mot tomorrow, sounded like a bag of spanners, luckily my mate Nath was there, a mechanic, who pushed me to get the crank off  
So the almost complete car looks like this 



Hope is still with me to go to Big Bang in it though. Clearly il not be running though as I need to bed engine in, hopefully I Can get big and main end bearings tomorrow.

So, been slack! It's mot'd!!!! Got the crank etc done and runs sweet as a nut now  

Got a slight issue with the gear linkage going into 3rd and 5th but il sort it. 

Got this to paint mars red and keep in car 

Made a false floor because I have no intentions of rear seats, ever. 

And ont mot ramp 


I'm happy all in all, but I can tell this ain't the end of this build!

Just read your entire thread Brad top effort. car looks good with the cookie cutters on and I bet it will run well also with that lump and set up in it. The rear axle mounts must be a bad point on the mk1s as I had to redo one of mine also.
That pic of your old cabby should be x rated. If your going to the annual meeting then hopefully I will get to see your car in the flesh.
