Thanks for the acceptance, like all or most of you i am a Vw MK 1 fan.
I am from South Africa, Knysna.
Hope my location does not hinder my group acceptance.
Started off as a regular 1991 mk1 citi golf 1.3
Removed the motor and replaced it with a ADY bottom end bored it to 2.1
Set to Mahle pistons
288 Cam
Set of bosch platinum sparks
Next took a 16v Head and simmed it to fit the bottom.
Motor balanced by Dave Ingel and added a set of Throttles to the mix.
FFX gearbox
Car runs strong but can be made more potent i think (137KW on wheels dyno'ed by Ferollir Cape Town.
I am heading to the UK in 2 weeks time for some work and would like to make contact with some guys there.
I am also looking to buy some part for my baby…

Pics attached.
Had a taxi drive into my right fendor a weeks ago
so not happy at the moment.Luckily no engine and gearbox damage.
So keen to meet a few guys in the UK when i am over
