newbie saying hello.........

hi all,

i,ve been a member of a number off different fourms for quite a few years now , but allways find it hard to share specific information about mk1's till wilst surfing came across this site and here i am. my name is james 33, from ireland but now live in holland. i have owned a numder of mk1's over the last few years, and now have this for about 3 years.

there are a large number of mods to this and is strictly for track days, shows, and a bit of fun. original 1800 dx motor rebored to 1900, double dcnf weber carbs from a fiat dino or ferrari with custom inlet manifold from haartman germany. suspension brakes body e.t.c. heres a few pics..

soon to be changed is the block for a "bubble block" audi 2.0 3a

just had it resprayed and intend to keep it for many years……. :)

Look how far those wheels stick out!!!!!!!!! 8O
You must get problems with them hitting the arches!

Looks nice though, apart from the wheels (A bit OTT for me!)

original 5.5 j * 14 but have been "banded" or widened to 7j front with 195-45-14 and to 9j rear fitted with 225-40-14. they are too wide for standard road use as is and have ordered arch extensions specific for a mk1 to run 9j rears from germany.
