new member from the midlands

  just wanted to say hi to all,been  along wait but i finally bought a tin top.Will add in the project section shortly .just wondering if there is any local clubs or any owners around leicester area?

the only meets around my area mostly  star  vauxhall corsa,s and clio's and there not 182s either

as far as spec
the previous owner done quite a lot so cant take the credit for it but he  has done ,
acid dipped entire shell , new sills , quarter panels, front panel and etc painted arctic white ,sitting on avo coil overs if i remember correctly,  brake disc conversion all round  with braided line, fitted a with kr engine with  weber carbs, the list goes on and on.
however i will be   fitting a t45 multi point weld in cage, bias pedal box,digital dash, buckets seat not decide what i am  using yet and possibly berg arches, again not decided on those yet but  will use suitable spit rim with either option and  to top it off taking the engine out to fit a forged abf lump which i have bought probably about 60% of it last week to do it

There's a good few on your doorstep. Mits Mits530 runs the East Midlands region. He's sold his Mk1 though lol. 

Faisal is on your doorstep too in Hamilton P0jy

There's more too (with MK1s). Keep your eyes out in the Spring for gatherings. If you need any help with anything in the meantime though just shout. Mits helps run a bodyshop and has a lot of local contacts for all you may need 👍🏻

I’m now in evington Village so not far from Houghton. I was actually working on Houghton today and nearly got stuck in the snow lol!

I had my Mk1 interior done at Classic Car Services in Thurmaston - a real craftsman in Steve Hartley!
I am in Stafford, really should get the Midlands meet ups going again in 2018

I agree Steve is a legend.

He did some work on my Sportline roof.

We used to have meets but then it fizzled out and didn’t really work for just the leicester area.

well this sound fantastic shame my tin top is no where complete to actually bring it out
i do need some spares jim may consider your offer on the bbs if i dont decide to fit berg arches
i will be struggling with wiring
