Hello from North Wales
Greeting everyone.
Literally joined in the past couple of minutes. I've joined up because I'm hopefully going to be starting a new project early next year and I want it to be a MK1 Golf, so what better place to start my research!!
So hello and I'm sure I'll get to know you all soon

Hiya mate!! I take it you haven't bought anything yet have you looked around? Good to see your into the old retro model that started the hot-hatch era!!
Maybe get yourself to some meets to see the cars and also get an idea on what you get for your money. Read the buyers guide bud as it was helpful to me. Glad you found us and welcome to the site

Meets are a great way to get to know fellow mk1's before going to bigger events like the AGM and BugJam. Get involved it's great… we have a Milton Keynes meet and I've got a fair few good mates from it.

Hello, no I've not bought anything as yet, funds won't allow until early next year. I love hot hatches, I've been a big Fiesta fan over the years but I've always had my other eye on the MK1 Golf. I did briefly own a purple MK1 Golf ( :redfaced: ) in the early '90s but the gash colour led to its unfortunate sale!!
I have some quite interesting plans for the Golf (when I get one ) which I'm going to keep under my hat for now.
Rest assured though it will be classic looking and not chavvy in any way!! I'd love to find one from '75 so its the same age as me!! But I'll be happy with any year!!
Anyhoos I'm off for a browse
