ye sure
its an 83' campaign gti
was registered by the previous owner on here
has
audi 2.2 throttle bodies
4-1 manifold
high lift cams
coilovers
ats cups 15x7
all red rear lights (standard ones fitted at the moment)
vdo gauges
everything else is mint and as original as possible, including the interior
just purchased some new engine parts which will be chromed
cam belt cover
rocker cover
fan cowling
roar pipe
the plan is to make the car as nice as possible, without modifications that cannot be returned back to standard
the strips are not on the car, as they were not replaced whent the car had a full respray in 98' for a mag feature (i was not the owner at the time) but i like the look of it at the time being without them
what do you all think?

I bought it in Nov '05 so I know about as much as you before that (presume you got the file with all receipts and the VW Motoring mag with it featured in 99) - sold it in Sep '06 to RSDUB on here who did some more work on it (look for his for sale thread as there are pics still on) then sold it to someone in Leeds who then used it to part ex against the 79 MK1 G60 the guy had that you bought it off in Scarbro
Yeah I know what you mean about getting it set up right - with that cam tho was always gonna be a job - you got it sorted now tho ??

cheers for the help
ye i got the folder with all the history etc
the cam was a big job to sort, i got the car re-tuned and the dodgy idle sorted, the car now starts and runs properly when cold, the cam is now less lumpy and drives properly even in traffic
it was a big job but now the car runs perfect
do you know when the modifications took place?
i will find rsdub now
i have also done loads of work on the gear box and clutch

No problem HTH - I could never be bothered to try and sort the cam and I know rsdub had a go - sounds like you have sorted it now tho so all good 8)
The mods took place leading up to the feature in VWM - it had black leather interior and a momo wheel in it when I got it and I put it back to standard. Oh I had the pirelli p's restored aswell but I dont think you got those in the sale did you ??
I put the link up above when rsdub had it for sale - if you look in my old posts you will see when I had it up also if you are interested.

no i did not get the p slots in the sale
when were the strips removed ?
and by who ?
they were there in rsdubs pics!
the pics from your for sale post dont work
ive sorted the cam and idle with a big stuggle but i am so happy with the way it is running now
im just sorting the niggles and then pimping the engine bay
most of the car has all of the original parts which is cool

Cool that youve got it running spot on - its a really really really good MK1 but you know that cos you bought it

I think I contacted malc when this car was for sale, not to buy the car but to ask about the alloys.
Now the pictures in the add I saved to remind me what they were. So here you go.
Good looking car.
