Just found this on qpeng website - "Total integration of any 1.8T 20v engine to any VW including tacho and coolant temp gauge functions"

I presume you need to find the wire Black/Red that went to the coil origionally from the loom back to the clocks. That way the tach clock gets it's signal , same for water temp.

yeah looking at the plug they have put nice male spades on so in theory all you do is get the old black and red/black coil spades and plug em in
the bit about coolant temp may mean either they have already spliced in the resistor for a mk4 coolant temp sender, best to check with them!
