They'll fit the rear rails alright, its just the centre front part you have problems with I think. The adjuster is on the wrong side of the seat. They will fit with minor mods I believe but I dont know exactly what needs to be done.
The frames on later cabby seats are the same as on seats from Mk2s
Cheers,
Ross

Can either;
Swap slide adjuster to other side of the subframe but will have to remove the height adjuster handle (they get in eachothers way). Not too tricky. Can either weld a new bracket in or bolt one in place.
Don't know if the seatbelt catches can be swapped over? Then you can put drivers seat in passenger side and vice versa. Then seat back tilt is on the inside of the seat rather than the outside…
Can weld a tubular piece to the chassis of the car (or swap the runner supporrts over) to use the seats as normal…
I am going to try to add a tubular piece to the chassis so seats will then work as originally intended and original mk1 seats will still fit…
