Audi engine

i went to a VW and Audi show once at santa pod and there was a guy there with a mk1 golf and it had a audi tt turbo engine in it.

After seeing it kill every thing on the 1/4 mile i decided as soon as i get the time and am in a possision to spend the cash i was going to do somet like that. So….

Has any one got any idea how much it would cost to buy a tt engine and get it running in a mk1 gti shell and the main jobs you have to do to make it fit?

its one seriously quick conversion, hellish methinks

If you can do it yourself budget about ?2K for the engine, box, loom and various bits and pieces you will need.
If you are going to pay for it, then think of a figure around the ?5k mark then add a bit for good measure.

Don't forget you will either first have to find a good Mk1 base car to do this with or buy one that needs work and do that too. Either way you are probably looking at about ?5K minimum (Doing it all yourself) to ?10K+ (Paying someone else)!

alrite pal ur lookin at about a grand plus for the engine…..u dont have to use the gear box….. getting it runn i think u can have one on the road for  3 to 4 grand……well worth it thou…..really quick……
