Any easy mods to give my gti cab abit more ooomph??
Really happy with the way my '85 gti cab goes, engine is sweet as a nut and the previous owner fitted a stainless backbox. Just wondering if there's anything i could do to free up a few more ponies and/or torque? I don't want to affect reliability in anyway and don't want to start stripping the engine down. What about a performance airfilter - would the injection be affected by this -ie running leaner?
Thanks

won't gain much on its own, audi throttle body would help but you'd need to take your inlet manifold off to open the hole up!

4-2-1 manifold, get a tune up down your local garage to make sure the timing etc is set up proper, also it might be worth while looking into a set of cams and pulleys, i mean next time your cambelt is due? as the belt will have to be removed to do it, and whulst the belts of u may aswell slap the cams in.
from memory a full cam kit is roughly about 400ish quid this consists of kent:
cam
pulley
tappets (if hydraulic)
other wise its 2 litre bottom end, but as you say you dont want to strip the engine.
