I have just bought a tidy caddy to replace my current 1.8t one . My original is very quick but is seriously hindered by lack of grip so wondered if anyone has tried the conversion with 4wd system from an S3 and how much work is involved . It looks relatively simple to fit the subframe under the bed of the caddy but it always ends up harder than you think. Any pointers appreciated

There's a member on here doing a 4wd conversion at the moment mate. Will try and find the link for you. Sounds like an exciting project you have going on there. Got any pics??

Thanks for the link but it is early stages . I have not started the project yet just considering though do have an APY with KO4 complete to the rear discs.

Would you be doing the work yourself? It's a massive project to take on. Would it be worth fitting the APY KO4 and getting a good diff in instead??

That is a more sensible option and with the weight distribution on the caddy the 4wd would be less relevant.

Thanks Chay , that is the kind of thing I am after but far more work than I would want to do on top of my other projects. Looking at shotening the rear axle I would be tempted to put on wider wheel arches and save on all that work.
