I was only voicing my opinion yomp(it was more a pipe dream/idea), I just thought you were asking the members what they wanted. I understand you can't please everyone, a camel is a horse designed by comittee and all that, and i also appreciate anyone that gives time towards organising anything like this.

I would like to do a bit of a road trip but i'm also happy to drive straight to wothersee and put my flip flops on and chill

I'm def up for coming but 7 days would be tops for me away,YES I am under the mighty thumb before anyone says anything lol.
So if a trip for 7 days is sorted I will be in I would prefer to go with other people not on my own as safety in numbers I believe and I pretty clueless driving abroad.

Speaking from experience (been every year since 02) if you want lots of drunk germans and nasty modifieds then go the week of the show (Thursday BTW). If you want to enjoy the Worthersee experience, the car meets, chilled atmosphere then go the week before (or even the week before that!)

Some years I've gone for 3 days and others I've been there for 2 weeks, sometimes I've driven and some times I've flown. I off again in just 16 days time.. where some people I know are off next weekend!

The week of the show the police are drafted in in huge numbers and you can almost guarantee being pulled at some point, they will ALWAYS find something to fine you for(I've been fined for having my arm out of the window, car too low, GB badge too small, GB badge not fitted etc etc).  Just make sure you always have a few 20 euro notes in your wallet and accept the fact that the guy is just doing it to make money, the phrase "…and for this I am going to fine you 20 euro.." becomes common, just stay calm, polite, pay your 20 euro and move on.


I cannot recommend a visit to Worthersee enough, its probably my favourite place on earth.

I think a few different options should be worked out and the most popular one stuck to. There's quite a few places to visit and obviously a limited amount of time to see them. I don't think it's possible to see all of them and whilst I would love to visit Wolfsburg those that went last time might not want to go?

If it's just decided then it risks being a flop before it's started.

I would be interested in adding my name to the list.

So what about two groups.
Both crossing and returning on the same Ferry route.

One heads North to Wolfburg and the other Southeast to Wortersee?

Those going to Wortersee get an extra day or two to suck in the atmosphere, area etc… (get a tan) and the other group just catch up when they want!

Seems simple enough, oh but then there's that other Nutter that will be traveling from East to West (oh yeah that's me)!

It's a doddle! 

Although You have to be prepared to be split from the group. It happened to us last year coming back. There was an accident and people went off in all directions.
You really need a european mapped sat nav as a minimum.

Good point will def get one,I'm a traindriver so used to signalmen telling me where to go! Oh and of course being late before any one jumps in! lol
As for where to go I'm happy where ever,for me it's going to be the enjoyment of going with fellow club members that I hope to meet at the shows this year that's the important thing to me.

I'm up for this. Looks awesome and I've never done a show abroad before. Always wanted to road trip in Europe.

Also I think 7 days would be enough. I'd love to go for more but cant use too much holiday on the one trip

Just had a quick count up on the thread.
NOW THIS IS NOT an accurate count by any stretch of the imagination, lets make that very clear.

But saw a total of 15 definite and  7 maybes.
I tried not to count anyone twice.

Smudger, I counted you as a maybe because you weren't sure if your car would be ready in time (if I recall correctly).

Dave, not trying to do your job Sir but people are asking and at least we have a rough or be it very rough idea.

It's a year away yet but I do know that when people come back from this years event they start booking Hotels, Pensions, etc… for the next!
