Winterising our cabby - what car cover?
Evening everyone!
We're putting Emma's cabby away for the winter - it's out of tax now and we're not using it when there's salt on the roads, so no point in taxing it really! We're putting moisture traps inside the car, and putting it up on axle stands to take the weight off the wheels. But with the absence of a decent garage, we've got to just cover it with a car cover. Anyone have any recommendations for a decent cover? Halfords do a breathable one that looks decent for just under £50, but is it any good? What do you use?
Thanks,
Neil and Emma

Got one from Argos £35.00 ish.
Brilliant.
I did have those moisture trap things but did not use them last year.
I had a problem with the hood so it was slightly open all winter.
Prior I had some mould on the steering wheel, so a quick wipe with a cloth and diluted bleach, no problem.
Interestingly enough no mould issue this time around :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:
You can buy the carcoon and the permabag or a carcoon they do outdoor ones too

not sure about cabbys but someone once told me if i was going to put a wrap on a car a little trick is to use pva glue and stick a few poly star ring blocks you know that white crap that toys come in at xmas, to the roof one at the back middle front and each side window, just to keep the cover off abit, to help the car breath and not sweat, and allows any moisture to dry quick, and the when you take it off the pva is ment to just peel off like a bit off skin(having not tryed it myself i ain't saying its true the peeling away part)
i never done it before and not going to probly but sprung to mind when reading this post
