hi all
sent email to check dimensions and also any dimensions of the ramp such that we can check what would be minimum for mk1's, however they do say standard mk1 , maybe they have had this problem before.
any member out there that has used ferries to france with lowered suspension.

all i'm thinking is sports cars are very low so there must be a way to get them on and off the ferry

i'd say 75% of mk1s are lowered a little bit :)

here is reply from ferry company
If the car has been modify it will have problem going up and down the ramp to the car deck, If you know a some of the cars are lowered or been modify I can book on our freight deck for you. (same fare quoted), and if on the day the loading staff can see that they can go up the car ramp with no problem than they will load on the car ramp.

Hi there

I have never had a problem getting on or off the boat.

My car is lowered by about 30mm all round. Just took it easy on the ramps and always fellas there to help out or guide you on. Have travelled with Stena HSS and slow ferry and also with Irish Ferries - never an issue for me… but maybe for ones on the floor!

Hope this helps…

Cheers Hugh.
