Film Offer
Over the past couple of year Ive been asked to loan the cabby to a film company as a prop. Each time it hasn't come off but this time Im keeping fingers crossed that it will.
The film will be a 'life history' of George Alan O'Dowd… Or Boy George as he is more commonly known. I expect that it will be a good years vs bad years production and the car has been pencilled in as 'the main character car' - we'll wait and see!!!
Tomorrow will see the removal of club stickers and grille plate and a swap to a period stereo!!!

Just be careful that when you get it back some poor sod isn't chained to the passenger seat
TBH it'd be better if it was Gene Hunt's courtesy car when the Audi's in for a service tho' if you know what I mean

So do I !!!!
I'm going to stay for the first day on 26/2 then I'm in hospital so they can keep it. Depending on how long they need it for, it may pay towards the refurb.

a friend of mine had a rivage about 10 years ago and he put it up for tv appearance's etc and was approached by coronation street but all they would offer is a full valet and any damage fully rectified and a full tank of fuel on return! stingy gits!

I'd let mine go on Corrie for that deal, it's the kudos not the money. Bonus if Betty leaves a couple of hot pots in the boot
Dano, how do I get mine on Corrie, Kev & Tyrone might need the work

I'm not holding my breath on this offer because it fell through last year but it does seem a bit more positive.

GAVIN and Stacey's Mathew Horne has landed a new meaty role without comedy sidekick James Corden - in a new drama about flamboyant Eighties star Boy George.
Mat will play Culture Club drummer Jon Moss, while newcomer Douglas Booth will play make-up loving George.
League Of Gentleman funnyman Mark Gatiss is cast as legendary punk manager Malcolm McLaren, while Hustle's Mark Warren will play Visage frontman Steve Strange.
The drama is part of BBC Two's Eighties season which also sees Nick Frost star as John Self in an adaptation of Martin Amis novel Money.
Worried About The Boy, which begins filming in Manchester later this month, will focus on Boy George's journey from being cloakroom attendant George O'Dowd to eccentric Culture Club frontman and musical phenomenon.
Special attention will be paid to the singers exuberant life style including the many drug driving incidents of his early life that saw countless destroyed motor vehicles, however it will stop shy of the troubles plaguing George in later life which saw him battle drug addiction and do time for chaining up a rent boy in his East London flat.
