Question on 2nd driver - help!!

Currently insured my Mk1 Campaign with Adrian Flux for agreed value of 3000 quid and 3000 miles. Good price and all fine. Problem I have is putting the Mrs on it. She's only been resident in the UK since 2006 and as such has only held a UK licence since then - even though she's had a driving licence since 1991. No convictions, no accidents. Adrian flux won't insure car if I add her (she's 34) and she needs to be on the policy. I could go with one of the big players but lose my agreed value etc…

It's really bizarre as Tesco have accepted her with no worries on a 25K, group 20 car! But they are not in the business of classic cars - anyone else had similar problems/solution?

I had same, my missus is on provisional, on the standar dinsurance for my mk2, no problems, they added her for a fiver, but on the cabby or GTI they wouldnt insure as a classic..

We got around it, it worked out just as cheap to have her as the main driver on the MK2, then she's covered, (ok third party only) to drive other cars..
